Terms of service

These terms govern your use of task2k.com and app.task2k.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Who can use task2k

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a legally binding contract. Testers must be resident in Nigeria.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password secure. Don't share your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, email support@task2k.com immediately.

You may only have one tester account. We use signal-matching (device cookie, IP, phone, bank details) to detect duplicate accounts. Accounts found to be duplicates may be suspended without notice and any accrued earnings forfeited.

3. Testers — what you agree to

• Provide honest, accurate demographic information.
• Complete studies in good faith — speak aloud, follow instructions, finish what you start.
• Keep study content confidential. Don't share screenshots, tasks, or recordings outside the platform.
• Only apply to studies you genuinely qualify for.

Quality is rated by the company after each study. Repeated low ratings or failure to follow instructions may result in account suspension.

4. Payments to testers

Payment is per completed and approved study. Approval is at the company's discretion within 7 days of submission. Payouts are sent to your verified bank account via Paystack. We don't take fees from tester earnings.

5. Companies — what you agree to

• Use the data you collect only for the research purpose you stated.
• Do not contact testers outside the platform.
• Pay the agreed amount once a tester has submitted a complete response that follows your instructions.
• Don't post studies that ask testers to do anything illegal or dangerous.

6. Pricing

Companies pay per completed response, plus a 20% platform fee. The minimum per-tester payment is calculated based on the study's content — see the pricing page for details.

7. Refunds

Paid balances are non-refundable once a study goes live. Unused balances on cancelled studies can be applied to future studies for up to 12 months.

8. Intellectual property

You own the data you submit. By submitting it, you grant task2k a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it for operating and improving the Service. Companies own the research data they collect, subject to the consent the testers gave at signup.

9. Prohibited content

Studies and tester responses must not contain hate speech, adult content involving minors, threats, malware, or other unlawful material. We reserve the right to remove anything that violates this and suspend the relevant accounts.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@task2k.com. Some data (financial records, audit logs) will be retained as required by law.

11. Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. task2k is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to any user for any claim is limited to the amount that user has paid us (companies) or earned via us (testers) in the previous 12 months.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be resolved by the courts of Lagos State.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that constitutes acceptance.
